"There is a constant reminder of His Word through the Holy Spirit, as God’s love is in full effect chasing us down!"

"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. ” - 1st Corinthians 15:58 -

Has God ever commanded you to do a particular task? You feel so excited and you’re so willing to do it. You feel a sense of joy and pride that God has chosen you to be His hands and feet for such a time as this. Your soul is just beaming with gladness and everyone around you sees and feels a difference in your demeanor. You’ve now started to invest time and energy into this vision that God has placed on the inside of you. You work assiduously to ensure that God is pleased with how you are handling the mission He has given to you. You’re now in it for a while and it seems as if you’re not reaping anything and you’re getting tired and weary. It’s hard, harder than you expected. Your hard work seems futile. You think, maybe I’m just not the right person for this job anymore.

In the midst of all this God reminds you, saying, "My child, do not grow weary while doing good, for in due season you shall reap, if you do not lose heart" (Galatians 6:9). "I am with you and nothing that you do with Me is ever in vain. As long as I build the house you labor not in vain" (Psalm 127). All you need to do is to trust in Me because My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts and My ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. "For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:8-9). "My child, have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9).

In any season of disappointment in our lives we have to remember to pray that we may remain steadfast and immovable, being confident that our Father in heaven hears us. We have to rely on His strength as it will be made perfect in our weaknesses. This trial and testing of our faithfulness to God will produce perseverance. God has equipped us with everything we need in order to complete the task at hand, so even in the times where we feel down, there is a constant reminder of His Word through the Holy Spirit, as God’s love is in full effect chasing us down!
