The Constant In Our Lives

"They won’t last forever but let me tell you what will last forever."

"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer.”
- Romans 12:12 -
My mom always told me that there are only two constants in life: God and change. Each situation, every affliction is for a season and will come to an end. Everything is here for a time and has its appointed end. You’ll have seasons filled with stress, despair and doubt but you’ll also have seasons full of perfect peace, triumph, victory and prosperity. This is the change my mom hinted at many years ago. Just as you get older and your ideals change; it is the same with situations and parts of your Christian journey. You will go through seasons of apathy and indifference, seasons of famine and plague, seasons of prosperity and power but that’s what they are, mere seasons. They won’t last forever but let me tell you what will last forever.
God is a true constant; His promises remain the same from age to age and His love for you is everlasting and enduring. He is our Redeemer, Comforter, Provider, King, good good Father and the list goes on and on. He is the beginning and the end. Even if the world crumbles and starts anew, His promises remain the same and His love remains true. So, during this time of crisis where nothing seems steadfast and all seems lost, I want you to rest in His love and stand on His promises. I encourage you not to lose hope; rather be patient in this time of tribulation and fervently engaged in prayer.
LET US PRAY
Lord, I thank You for assuring me that You will always be here; that in an ever-changing world, You are a never-changing God. Lord I thank You that in every situation I face, You are there. Thanks for being a constant God, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
